About Me Rakesh Mittal
I studied Computer Science, Electronics, Physics and Mathematics at BITS, Pilani [1974-1981]. I did schooling from Birla School and Birla Shishu Vihar, Pilani. I worked in the software research and development centers of ORG Systems and C-DOT. ORG Systems developed microcomputers and system software. Center for Development of Telematics developed a series of telecommunication and network products. I have worked in the software development units and advanced research labs of Fortune 10 companies. I have worked in a large number of computer projects in various locations and corporations. Working in these projects has given me an insight into multiple industrial and academic processes. I can measure the complexity of projects and the efforts required from start to finish. I understand multiple cultures, trends and paradigms that impact the success of a project. I am putting in my efforts in multiple directions at present as I have multiple interests. I am interested in more fields than it is possible for me to justify. I have two main focuses at present: (1) Software research & development (2) Developing Mittal Institute of Technology & Science, where I can direct the education and research processes.
